What To Expect

I usually start lessons with a "hello and how's your

week." After that, we will usually review whatever we

learned the week before, and I will answer any

questions that you may have. Most of the time I will

have something I have prepared that we can go over.

I try my best to keep lessons fun, so we will also

learn some music that you enjoy; afterall, this is why

we picked up a guitar in the first place. Once we

have gone over any new stuff for the week, I make

sure you feel confident with what we have learned

and answer any last little questions. I always challenge

my students, but I will keep our challenges resonable.

Also, I don't make it a habit of throwing furniture and

yelling if you haven't mastered everything in a week

. . . unless you like that kind of motivation.

Materials

While I do have books that I like to use, I usually

wait a few lessons before choosing a book. Most

of the books I use cost between six to eighteen

dollars. Also, I keep most of the songs and basic

things we need in the Resources section of this

site. The only expense for you is the cost of a bit

of printer ink. As a teacher, I will try to adapt to

you rather than do the "my way or the highway"

thing. Of course, you will need a guitar. If you do

not have one, I am always glad to give suggestions

or even meet you to help choose the best one.
