2012 Battle of the Bands

I have been working toward putting on a battle of the bands over the course of the last 3 months, and I can finally say that I have found a venue that was as excited about the whole thing as I am.  Thank you to The Village Burger for providing a great place to hold the first of what I hope to be an annual event.  Along with giving us a place to set up and make some noise, they have also provided free custard for all performers and some gift cards for prizes.  And as if that isn’t enough good news, I’ll mention that I have launched a new website focused on the local music scene.  Right now it is mostly serving as an information page for The Battle of the Bands, but the long term plan is to do interviews with local musicians, articles on performances, and a calendar of concerts. . . so if you know about any such things, hit me up and I’ll post it.  Check it out if you want to be in the BotB, and spread the word if you know folks in a band.
